Nashville New Year's Eve 2027: Where to Stay as a Large Group

Ringing in the new year in Music City is a great idea. Organizing it for a big group is the hard part. Hotel rooms scatter everyone across different floors, and the group chat turns into a logistics project by 9 p.m. One home base, or several homes at one address, solves most of that.

Here's how to choose where to stay in Nashville for New Year's Eve with 10, 20, or 40+ people.

Book early: big homes go first

Homes that sleep 10 or more are far scarcer than hotel rooms, and New Year's Eve weekends tend to fill early. In 2026, December 31 falls on a Thursday, so many groups will stretch it into a long weekend from Thursday through Sunday. If your dates are set, lock in a home before your guests start booking their own travel.

What to look for in a New Year's Eve rental One address for everyone. Stay Harmony Nash's homes share a single location, so a group of 30 isn't split across town. Combining side-by-side homes also gives you separate bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. A place to host the countdown. Rooftop decks with skyline views and a hot tub are hard to beat on a cold December night. Several of our homes have them, so check each listing. Real sleeping space. Look at the bed setup, not just the maximum guest count. A kitchen. You'll want it for New Year's Day brunch. Clear house rules. Read the rules on noise and guest counts before you book. Plan the night before you book

Know your main event. Nashville's New Year's Eve Big Bash has been a free outdoor concert at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Last year's gates opened at 5:30 p.m. and music started at 7. Details for the 2026 show weren't announced when we wrote this, so check Visit Music City for the latest.

Plan your rides. Our homes are about 4–5 miles from downtown and Broadway, so rideshare is the easiest way to go out. Agree on a meeting point and a plan for getting home, since downtown is crowded around midnight. Prefer to skip the crowds? Watch the countdown from your own rooftop.

Reserve dinner early. Groups of 10 or more should call restaurants well ahead of time. For ideas, see our Nashville restaurant guide and best rooftop bars.

Turn it into a holiday trip

If your group includes family, consider arriving early. Gaylord Opryland's A Country Christmas and its ICE! attraction, themed around Home Alone this year, runs from November 6 through January 2. Need more ideas? Our 3-day Nashville itinerary for large groups is easy to adapt.

Which size fits your group Up to 12 guests: a single home, such as Ham 12 – Round Up, with a rooftop and hot tub. 20 guests: Ham 6 & 7, two homes side by side. 30 guests: Ham 5, 6 & 7, three homes together. 40+ guests: four homes, up to 48 guests, with two hot tubs.

Not sure which combination works? Send us your dates and group size, and we'll recommend the best fit. See also: Where to Stay in Nashville for Large Groups.
